About Heather Burns

Heather Burns is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in senior living, specializing in resident engagement, activity coordination, and program development. Her passion for enhancing the lives of older adults through meaningful activities and events has been the cornerstone of her career.

During her time with Brookdale Senior Living, she managed programs for 300+ residents across independent living, assisted living, and memory care, leading a team to design dynamic programming addressing cognitive, social, physical, and spiritual needs. She has also overseen memory care programming for Alzheimer’s residents while also overseeing the daily operations of frontline clinical care teams. Throughout her career, her work has highlighted her ability to develop innovative programs that enriched residents’ quality of life.

Heather holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Advertising and Public Relations from West Texas A&M University.
